Bellator 293 featured a heavyweight showdown between Marcelo Golm and Daniel James on March 31 at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California.  MMA News has the official results and highlights here!

Both Golm and James tried to get a win with the hope of becoming the next  Bellator Heavyweight title contender. They were both on a four-fight winning streak, finishing their opponents decisively. However, Golm was ranked fifth in the division and attempted to defeat James to keep his spot in the rankings.

The co-main event had Cat Zingano fight Leah McCourt in a women’s featherweight bout. Ranked number one in the division, Zingano is potentially on her way to a fight against Cris Cyborg for the Bellator Women’s Featherweight Championship. She was also on a three-fight win streak, with her last win against Pam Sorenson at Bellator 282 on June 24, 2022.
