Saúl Canelo Álvarez is the king of the super middleweights, with the titles of the four most important associations, but from a new generation the undefeated Mexican-American David Benavídez appears with the aspiration to reach the throne. For that this Saturday he will seek to go one step further against Caleb Plant , against whom he will defend the interim WBC title.
Plant, with a 22-1-0 record with 13 KOs, only lost to Canelo in 2021, in the fight that Benavídez hopes to have in the future. Red Flag Benavídez , for his part, arrives with an impressive record of 26-0-0 with 23 KOs: his last fight against David Lemieux did not go beyond the third round.
The MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas hosts this fight between two longtime rivals.
