What is the role of Canelo Álvarez in Creed III
After Rocky’s decades-long success, Creed was released, a film that portrays the life of the son of Apollo Creed, an important character in the first films of the saga starring Sylvester Stallone. Now, this story will have its third part in theaters.
Michael B. Jordan will be, as always, who plays Adonis Creed. But he will also have his debut as a director.
In the story, Adonis gets out of the ring and puts aside his life as a professional to dedicate himself to his family, his gym business and also to get new commercial agreements. The villain is Dame Anderson -Jonathan Majors puts himself in her shoes-.
One of the brand new news was the presence of Canelo Álvarez, who has a rather minor role and does not even have dialogue. His role is reduced to a cameo in the preview of the fight between Félix Sánchez and Anderson. Even the man from Guadalajara does not play someone else, but even gives the impression that he is acting himself.
Canelo Álvarez, to the cinema
The man from Guadalajara has remarkable achievements and, although he still has a thread on the reel, his career is already worthy of a documentary and of entering the great history books of boxing.
The owner of the 168 pounds knows this and, in an interview for GQ, he left some pearls. “The plan is to continue in the box for four or five more years; six, maybe, ”he began.
And he added that he would like to focus on the world of cinematography as several athletes did, such as David Beckham or even his colleague Sergio ‘Maravilla’ Martínez: “Although you never have to say never. Perhaps I would like to have a participation like the one Beckham had in the movie he made; something about Vikings or Romans wouldn’t be bad”.
